The purpose of this study is to validate a digital health technology that leverages a wearable sensor (ARIA sensor) to increase swallowing frequency in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and mild to moderate dysphagia.

Aim 1. Refine engineering of the sensor’s haptic capabilities and develop a patient-facing user interface and SLP-facing cloud interface for data management to enable remote care.

Aim 2. Refine the sensor algorithm.

Aim 3. Assess the capability of the sensor to improve key metrics of swallowing compared to usual care.
