DRS 2022 Run for Research

Join the SCSC and Northwestern University researchers, faculty, clinicians, and students in the Dysphagia Research Society (DRS) 2022 Run for Research.

The Run for Research supports scientists and clinicians working to improve swallowing and quality of life for individuals with dysphagia, or trouble swallowing.

The Northwestern Trail Blazers will be running for research on Thursday, June 23rd at 4pm. Runners and supporters will meet at the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in Evanston (Frances Searle Building) and enjoy a beautiful 5k run/walk along the lakefront.

Historically the largest clinical swallowing conference in the US, The Charleston Swallowing Conference is a multidisciplinary conference designed for practicing clinicians across all patient care settings and ages. More than 80 renowned dysphagia experts will present. Last held in 2013, this conference strategically occurs only when there is  sufficiently novel and relevant research, clinical, and professional information that warrants rapid translation into patient-centered care.
