Phenotyping the MBSImP Profiles of Stroke, PD, COPD, and Dementia Patients

Phenotyping the MBSImP Profiles of Stroke, PD, COPD, and Dementia Patients 2022-05-04T14:17:23-05:00

Project Description

The aim of this investigation is to examine the relative severity of Stroke, PD, COPD, and Dementia Patients for each of the 17 MBSImP components. To accomplish this we leverage the large amount of data in the MBSImP Swallowing Data Registry, a centralized deidentified clinical database, to calculate the relative severity of each diagnosis for each MBSImP component. This analysis approach allows us to generate an expected profile of physiological impairments for each diagnosis and determine how similar or different the swallowing physiology of these patient populations are.
