In remembrance of Dr. William “Bill” Timmer, Program Director within the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Martin-Harris and the members of the SCSC offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dr. William “Bill” Timmer. Dr. Timmer was an advocate for cancer research and his support and encouragement played a crucial role in Dr. Martin-Harris’ recently awarded R01 grant. Dr. Timmer was an incredible scientist and mentor, and his passing will be greatly felt within the cancer research community.

Dr. Timmer visited the SCSC when in Chicago for the annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) in June of 2018.
